Principal's Message

One of the aspects of student life at C.H.S, that can so easily be overlooked, is the student involvement in Community Service. Students are not graded on such activities, nor do they expect to be praised for their concern for others. Yet though there are so many humble students here at C.H.S, they certainly "act" in order to make a difference in the lives of others.

This past weekend was an example of their involvement in the community. Within twenty four hours three events took place where our students participated. Under the direction of Mrs. Rose Solar, our guidance counselor, many students did the Relay for Life. The all night walking program, in a team effort, pledged and raised money to fight cancer. The following morning Mr. Adam Ingano, organized and led a group of our students in the local Walk for Hunger. During these economically difficult days, families are in greater need to survive. Our local food pantries benefit from this event and help serve the needs of these struggling families. Mrs. Kathy Fahy was part of a Bike a Thon which also included our students. The goal of this event was to help meet the needs of the technology demand in the school district.
