We are now beginning the second half of the school year. We are in the midst of exams and many activities are happening. Mrs. Collins had a very successful Study Night here at CHS. with forty students, together with staff, preparing for exams. What a positive event, to see students, coming at night to study and review together. It is also impressive to see teachers volunteering their time to help.
Both the FIRST Robotics Team and the school play are in the preparation stages. This year's play, Grease, will prove to be entertaining and fun. Krista Duchnowski is doing a great job. The production will take place on March 20, 30, and 31, here at the CHS auditorium. The Gael Force team is working nightly and on weekends preparing for both regional and national competitions. We are grateful for the coaches, advisors, and staff from NYPRO, who work side-by-side with our students.
The CHS Council, made up of teachers, parents, students, and community members, assisting the Principal, have developed and accepted our Vision Statement.
CHS Vision Statement
(Approved by CHS Council 1/9/12)
Our vision at Clinton High School is for students to learn from the past, thrive in the present and contribute to the future. Clinton High School students will be independent, respectful, and life-long learners. As members of a diverse community, our students will develop skills needed to go forth with confidence and compassion which are essential in an ever-changing society.
As always, we are grateful for all who support us here at CHS.
Respectfully,
James Hastings, Principal
