Updates for 9/15/26

September 15, 2026

Dear Clinton Families,

I am writing today to share two quick items.

First, Fire Drills were conducted this morning in each building. Thank you to the Clinton Fire Department for running these drills. All of our students and staff did an excellent job.

Second, some of you may have seen in the news that there have been some recent cyberattacks impacting school districts and towns across the state. Yesterday, September 14, one of our Clinton Public School email accounts was compromised and a phishing email was sent to many groups and individuals from that account. I know that some of you may have received emails from this compromised account. We recommend that you do not click on any links from any suspicious emails. If you ever have a question about the authenticity of an email, please email the sender directly (not a reply to the email) to confirm.

We were able to deactivate the accounts in our system that appeared to be impacted by this incident and reset credentials.  At this time it does not appear that any sensitive data was compromised.

I hope that everyone has a great rest of the week.

Sincerely,

Steven C. Meyer, Ed.D.
Superintendent
